Let’s Gather Togther

Welcome and thank you for stopping by.
We would love to talk to you about speaking at your next Gathering.

What is a Courage for the Journey Gathering?

We are so glad you asked. A gathering is when we get together to share our story of God’s faithfulness.

We pray our story combined with the Truth of God’s Word will give you courage for your journey as well.

Is this something you and your group could use in your life? Check out the Gathering Options below.

Gathering Options

One hour session each week for 6 weeks

  • Session 1 – Our View of God Matters
    • When we know God is great and mighty, but He is also a good Father, it enables us to trust He will be faithful to come through as He promised.
  • Session 2 – Why Does God Want Me to Suffer?
    • No one wants to endure trials, but that’s where most growth occurs. Suffering is a trial on a deeper level. And if we don’t give up too soon, God builds our character to trust Him.
  • Session 3 – Courage is Contagious
    • The source of courage is God’s character. It is not a one-time thing. We keep asking for courage when we are tempted to give-up and God keeps giving it. Then others see it and want it too.
  • Session 4 – Certain and Unshakable Hope is Possible
    • We desire the good God is promising and we have a certain expectation that it will happen. Hopelessness and helplessness are replaced with a belief that God will be faithful because that is who He is.
  • Session 5 – The Peace of God is the Antidote to Anxiety
    • The calming tranquility arising from the reconciliation with a holy God results in a sense of divine favor and every kind of good and sound blessing. Until perfect peace is fully realized, we will not experience the absence of conflict, but we can fully know the absence of chaos and confusion amidst our trials.
  • Session 6 – God Hears the Heart Cries and Groans of Prayer
    • Before even uttering a word, we humble ourselves to acknowledge we are helpless without God. We pour out our heart to God through His Son, guided by His Spirit asking Him to mold our will to His. Then He miraculously lifts us up and gives us confidence to approach His Throne, where we find grace and mercy in our time of need.
  • Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM with a break for lunch

What We Believe

We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit living in perfect unity, equal in essence with different functions.

We believe Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God but is God and was chosen by His Father to become the Son of Man for the purpose of restoring sinful mankind to a Holy God. At the perfect God-appointed time, Jesus Christ willingly submitted to His Father’s will and became flesh through the Holy Spirit moving within the virgin Mary.

We believe because of His great love, the Father was willing to send His only Son to live a perfect life and then suffer a cruel undeserving death on the cross to pay the wage for our sins, as He was the only sacrifice that would prove to be sufficient.

We believe God chose a people unto Himself, and we show we are His by our obedience to His Word. We believe His blood was sufficient to pay for our sin, and we must also confess Him as Lord, submitting ourselves to Him as He did His Father.

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every blood bought born again sinner at the point of their conversion, thus making it possible to understand the Truth of God’s Word and be prompted to live a life worthy of the calling.

We believe baptism does not save us but is a step of obedience as an outward picture of our inward decision.

We believe that God has revealed Himself to us through His written Word, the Bible. It is through this revelation that we can know Him and what He wants for us. The original writings were inspired by the Holy Spirit and have been preserved through the ages, even as it has been translated into various languages. It is sufficient and useful for teaching, correction, doctrine, and training.

We believe God created us to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever, and we do this best when we give a correct picture of His character, which perfectly marries Truth with Love, not overemphasizing one over the other.

We believe God called his followers to a priesthood of believers and gifted us uniquely to do the good work He called us to. We are most satisfied when living life this way in the community of a local Church.

We believe we live with the Hope of our inheritance with Christ as we are waiting for His return to set up New Heaven and New Earth.
