Welcome
Eric and I just finished our live sessions in our Courage for the Journey series. It was a 6-session series of classes that met on Wednesday evenings at our church.
We will talk more about our next steps at the end, but I want to remind our listeners, you can contact us through email at juliefillinger.com@gmail.com.
And today, Eric is joining me for a recap. If you remember he came on the podcast halfway through the series on February 10th so we could discuss how it was going.
If you missed that podcast, I would encourage you to go back and listen. We get into some of the why’s behind the series and Eric shares some vulnerable moments.
Welcome back Babe!
Interview Questions
Let’s get into it.
We pretty much covered the first 3 sessions of our view of God, suffering, and courage in the mid-series recap on February 10th.
The last 3 live sessions covered hope, peace, and prayer. Who doesn’t want that?
1. Starting with hope, what do you think was significant about that session that
resonated with our live class?
2. In the session on peace, we clarified the difference between peace with God and peace of God. Can you elaborate on why we highlighted that distinction?
3. My last podcast was The Heart Cries and Groans of Prayer. I was reflecting on our live session on prayer. Would you say you have had some breakthroughs in your prayer life as part of preparing for and leading that last session?
4. When we asked our live class to evaluate us, you said no rat poison. What did you mean by that?
5. We asked them to tell us overall what they got out of the Courage for the Journey series and how we could improve it.
6. Were you surprised the class did not think the material was too much?
7. We asked if the illustrations from our personal life resonated. Weren’t you so
touched by their responses?
8. Not every setting will be conducive, but they had a lot to say about discussion.
9. What should we tell our listeners about where we are going from here?
Closing
We would love to meet you and come to your gathering. There’s a lot of different ways we can package the material.
- One day or half a day gathering
- Overnight retreat
- 6 consecutive weeks
- An individual session
