In anticipation of celebrating Resurrection Sunday, I am reflecting on the final week of Jesus and considering the great cost of His Sacrifice. Jesus knew He was walking the road to Jerusalem for the last time and He did so with purpose.
“Why would you want to keep me from heaven?” Pops asked. Everything was happening so quickly for us, but right on schedule in God’s timing. We informed the family that Pops may not live much longer.
Death doesn’t win! You can know with confidence that what comes next for God’s children is an exciting adventure where we use our gifts and abilities to bring Him glory in a physical place that Jesus is preparing.
This decision is the best decision you will ever make and will become your favorite love story too! It is the one that impacts your life for all of eternity and gives you assurance of where you will go when you die.
God used physical death to put a longing in my heart that should have already been there to get me to think with an eternal perspective.
My husband and I said early on that we were not going to blame each other. But I still cannot help but wonder if we brought about Nicholas’ death with sin.
Does hearing their name cause comfort or pain?
Those who had not experienced the great loss of a loved one, were inclined to think saying Nicholas’ name would cause me more pain.
This was not possible. I was in misery and longed for my loved one to be remembered.
