In Psalm 90, Moses teaches the next generation and generations to come that God’s abiding Glory is the covenant heritage to His children. He is our dwelling place. As we delight in Him and He in us, wherever God is dwelling is our HOME.
No matter how long I’ve been gone, Home is the place I always want to come back to. It’s the place I am completely myself and know I am still loved. I experience a taste of Home now, but ultimately what I’m looking for can’t be found here.
Death doesn’t win! You can know with confidence that what comes next for God’s children is an exciting adventure where we use our gifts and abilities to bring Him glory in a physical place that Jesus is preparing.
There have been milestones in my grief journey. I have no doubt this will continue. The first year has been the hardest, all the firsts without a part of my heart.
