Hey Friend,

I want to start by saying thank you. Truly. Thank you for being part of this podcast community and for walking alongside me on this journey. I don’t take your support lightly, and I’m so grateful you’re here

Lately, something has been weighing heavily on my heart—loneliness. Even in a world where communication is instant and information is always at our fingertips, so many of us feel isolated and alone. I see it everywhere. And if I’m honest, I’ve felt it too.

We attend events, stay busy, scroll endlessly, and surround ourselves with noise—yet something still feels missing. Why is that?

Why Community Alone Isn’t Enough

I’ve lived in a community that shows up in powerful ways—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers bringing food, people opening their homes in times of crisis. It’s beautiful. And yet, even with all of that goodness, there’s a deeper kind of connection our hearts long for.

What I’ve come to understand is this: our loneliness isn’t just social or emotional, it’s spiritual.

We are body, soul, and spirit. And when our spiritual needs go unmet, no amount of activity or support can fully satisfy what’s crying out inside us

The Cure for Loneliness

Scripture gives us a powerful picture of true fellowship in Acts 2—a community devoted to God’s truth, prayer, shared lives, and genuine worship. That kind of Spirit‑filled fellowship met needs not just outwardly, but deeply and eternally.

And in Psalm 73, we see how everything changes when we enter the sanctuary of God—when we come into His presence. That’s where perspective shifts. That’s where envy turns to gratitude, discouragement turns to hope, and isolation gives way to communion with a faithful God who never leaves us.

As God’s children, we are never truly alone. God’s Spirit lives in us. He testifies to our spirit that He is with us—always.

What This Means for You (and Me)

God’s presence changes everything. When we choose God’s presence—when we lean into worship, truth, and fellowship—we discover that nothing else can fill the void. Our hearts overflow, our perspective changes, and we find the courage to share our stories. And in doing so, God reminds us—and others—that He is enough.

An Invitation & What’s Coming Next

I’m excited to share that over the coming months, I’ll be interviewing Women of Faith from all walks of life—women in their 20s through their 80s—who have powerful stories of God’s faithfulness and the courage He gave them in their trials. These stories are coming soon, and I truly believe they will encourage your heart

And if you’re longing for deeper connection in your own community, I’d love to invite you to visit the Gatherings page on my website. There you’ll find ways we can bring the Courage for the Journey ministry to your church, retreat, or next gathering—whether that’s a single session, a day event, or a multi‑week series.
